Fishing Trip

Sept 18, 1999 

To grab any opportunity to get out on a lake is rewarded with outdoor experiences
even when the fish we were after (called walleye or pickerel) aren't co-operating !!

This day started out (with optimism that a delicious fish fry was in store at the end
of the day) My oldest son Darcy knew of this great lake.............

Darcy holding a 7 pounder Jackfish that I caught (and was too skittish to get close to). I had been bitten on the finger by one a month ago...... This lucky lunker returned unharmed to his hunting ground for more action in somebody's future

Darc's turn to catch a Northern Pike (Jackfish). Sure felt like a walleye didn't it Darc? This lucky fellow also found itself back in the waters unharmed to keep working on its appetite !!

All packed up and ready to go at the end of a great day (without any pickerel, though)!! We're off and heading back to Darcy's place for a big feed - of Kentucky Fried Chicken !! Next time.....next time.....maybe...
